From her perspective... courting

Well, the next day at work Josh asked me out for that night, I told him I had plans but that I was free on Saturday. He said he couldn't wait to kiss me again. I blushed and walked away. So he took me to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. We talked briefly about religion and he told me he was not interested in discussing it further because he was not comfortable with it. I decided it was only date number two and we changed the subject. He held my hand for the first time while we walked to the theater.
The rest of our courtship was a happy blur. Once he started calling me his girlfriend and asked me to tell him about who I was, I told him if he truly wanted to get to know mw he would have to let me talk about religion because that was a big part of who I am. He told me he was envious of my faith. He wanted to someday have even a portion of what I had. He was not interested in joining a religion but would listen attentively as I spoke of my beliefs. He asked questions and I answered. I took him to the Sacramento open house in September of 2006. He was blown away. On our drive home he said he was ready to meet with my missionaries. We had the first couple of discussions in my apartment and then he wanted to do the rest on his own. He came to me one day and told me about the discussion and said "By the way, I am being baptized." I was shocked but very happy, of course.
Josh joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on January 26th, 2007. He was so happy. My whole family was there to support him.
February 14th, 2007, Josh picked me up for a date. I spent a lot of time getting ready, had a new dress and was hoping he would notice. He didn't seem to notice. He brushed me out the door. I was a little upset, but let it go. We got to the Outback and he walked around the car and said "Your outfit looks great but it is missing something." I was slightly annoyed seeing as I spent so much time making sure it was perfect. He knelt down in the parking lot and held out a little gold box with a ring inside and asked "Marry me?" I pulled him up and kissed him while answering, "Yes."
